About Us
We are the Fertitta’s, Erika (owner) and Chris (helpful Husband). We are firm believers that food should be clean and simple, our dogs included. In 2021, I started making homemade treats for our dogs, Letty (Boxer/Pit Mix) and Ryker (Shepherd Mix). It was a way I could cope losing Brody and dealing with severe burnout as a Vet Tech. Since then, I traded my 8 years of Veterinary experience for a small business with a purpose! Invested into dehydrators to help preserve treats without sacrificing the nutrients they provide, received my Texas Feed License, expanded my line of biscuits and added jerky, and gained a passion for dog nutrition!
When we are not making treats you can find us spending time with our dogs. We enjoy hiking, paddle boarding, local craft breweries, and traveling in our travel trailer to National Forests/Parks, Off road parks, and State Parks.
Brody’s Story
We adopted Brody in August 2020. He was found wondering the streets of San Antonio, Texas. He was roughly 2 years old. What a hell hound he was haha! His favorite activity was napping when we were spending the day at the lake and jumping our 7 foot fence to chase wildlife from our property. He was a very loyal dog and a silent protector. Sadly in February 2021, we found ourselves rushing Brody to the veterinary clinic I worked at. He had passed away from Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy (ARVC).
At Brody Boy’s Dog Treats, we hope to inspire you to spend as much time as you can with your dog. Take them on their favorite adventure even when you don’t feel like it. Life is never promised and Brody taught us to live like that 7 foot fence wasn’t holding you back.
